WHO WE ARE

Educate. Empower. Mentor Youth.

Creating Exposure Through the Arts (C.E.A.) is a 501c3 non-profit organization that educates, empowers, and mentors youth and young creatives by providing opportunities for exposure to artistic expression through diverse disciplines.

Created by Mark Pendergrass, C.E.A. is on a mission to change lives. Through years of mentoring, Mark has witnessed how much a young person can be inspired just by placing a camera in their hands. It is this pure joy, pride, and excitement that serves as the foundation upon which C.E.A. is crafted.

What our students are saying…

“I asked my mom to find me an art class close to home and she found this Creating Exposure Through The Arts Culture Blocks program. I have learned about cameras, editing, and how to properly use the lighting in my environment when taking pictures. I also learned life lessons about staying curious about things because different interests can come from any place. Photography is really fun and I enjoy using digital cameras. This could be an interesting career path because cameras are cool. This program was a great way to spend time with my younger brother Aarron as we learned about visual arts on the weekends.”
